Working Together

What do I do?

I connect the dots between: Engaged Buddhism, Meditation, Qigong and the Natural World. I offer containers that help cultivate deeper awareness and invite space for reflection by sharing practices originated from Buddhism and Daoism.

I care deeply about making sure that all my offerings feel inclusive, trauma informed, compassionate and playful. My practices are inspired by the natural world and I share them to support you in nourishing the body, soothing the mind and inspiring the spirit.

I work with individuals, communities, organisations and B-Corps.

  • Combining stillness and silence frees up a space for experience and self-reflection.

By using our senses as anchors to draw our attention to the present moment.

This awareness helps us to improve cognition, reduce stress and spark self-compassion.

MY APPROACH

  • Most of us know that movement triggers the production of your brain's feel-good neurotransmitters, like dopamine and endorphins.

Slow, intentional movement of Qigong strengthens the body-mind connection. Practicing this way allows us to feel and sense (rather than being explained by someone else) is truly empowering.

Qigong also improves the posture, reduces pain, increases mobility and helps build stamina.

  • Self-reflection and self-compassion helps us develop a greater self-awareness, which is a main component of our emotional intelligence.

Whether through a conversation, further reading recommendations or by providing recorded meditations, my intention is to allow space that will foster a deeper sense of connection.

Although I'm not a therapist myself, over the years, I've experienced the power of a simple conversation. Which is why a deep listening is a part of my method.

Who do I work with?

Individuals - 1:1 Online and In-Person

My 1-1 work is a result of combining a variety of trainings and lived direct experiences. My approach offers a unique blend of Meditation, Buddhist Psychology, Qigong and Somatics. Working with others in the 1-1 setting opens up space for conversation, connection and contemplation. I specialise in working with neurodivergent folks, people experiencing Climate Anxiety, Chronic Fatigue, and those who want to deepen their body mind-connection in order to regulate the nervous system.

PHOTO-WALKS.

The idea is pretty simple. We start with a talk which elaborates further on the theme, shoot, and at the end allow some time for reflections. I hope you will leave a photo walk feeling more connected to your creative process, other participants and the world around you.

Working together: I offer Photo Walks to charities and local communities.

PHOTOGRAPHY. RESEARCH.

I’ve recently handed in my MA research dissertation in Buddhist Studies exploring “If Zen can really be expressed through Arts”. The objectives of my research were achieved by conducting interviews with contemporary artists who perform ‘Zen Arts’: Tea Ceremony, Painting and Calligraphy and Ikebana. All the interviews were accompanied by a photographic essay captured on 120 medium format film and 35mm film camera.

Working together: I immensely enjoyed combining the format of writing and photography and I’m open to commissions, projects and ideas revolving around Ecology, Spirituality, Religion and Arts. I take only take on commissions that align with my values. Please get in touch if you would like to see my portfolio or follow @studioshizen__

MENTORING.

Occasionally I offer mentoring sessions for creatives. From finding your niche, working through creative obstacles, developing your personal practice and connecting with your unique way of communicating work. I will offer you a variety of self reflective assignments. My intention is to share my honest opinions, based on my own experience and create space that feels both nourishing and inspiring. I work in a 1-1 and group container.

1-1 Client

“I had 1-1 Qigong sessions with Kasia, and they were truly transformative. Their knowledge, care, and affirming nature created a supportive environment that was both mind and heart-opening.

From Qigong to reading, podcasts, and general supportive messages, they offer the full package and shares it all from an egoless place. These sessions were an amazing tool for my health, my disregulated nervous system, and, unbeknownst to me at the time, have become an amazing channel for my creative practice. Qigong feels like an understated practice.

As a neurospicy girl with ADHD, meditation with these subtle movements gifted me the chance to practice mindfulness. Highly recommended for all ages, abilities, and goals”.
